Mental healthcare is often stigmatized and not taken seriously by the public.Mental illnesses are one of the most common things a person can experience, but it's also one of the least understood. This leads to wrong judgment and isolation, which makes it harder to seek help. Therefore, JCI Lead Tropicana organized Re:MIND to got you covered with our series of Mental Health Awareness Talk. Our very first talk tittled: "it's OK to be not OK" Re:Mind objectives are to: -raise awareness about the mental health continuum -reduce stigma associated with mental illness -promote help seeking behaviors and emotional well-being practices and prevent suicide and home abuse through individual education and outreach events.
